Yeji's First Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday on the 17th we decided to go to the pumpkin patch with our good friend Sharon, her hubby Jack, and of course Yeji's bff Isabel. We knew it was a crazy idea to take two newborns on a mini road trip, but it was either we sit at home and attend to our crying baby or go out and attend to our crying baby and hey it was a no-brainer.

We were initially going to take two separate cars, but in this economy we had to save gas and that meant cramming two mommies in the cargo seats in the back of our SUV. Living in the lap of luxury, yes.

Once we got there, it was a bit colder than we anticipated so we huddled our babies up with extra layers of clothing and marched up to Burt's Farm. It was packed to the max and boy were there enough pumpkins. There were lupus pumpkins, hill billy pumpkins, hood pumpkin, you name it they had it all.

After our little photo sessions we picked out our pumpkins and waited in the long line to get some homemade pumpkin pies and pumpkin bread and we hurried out before the insanity came over us.

Wish the weather would have been better, but either way we had a great time and hope to go there again next year. It'd be great to see our little pumpkins grow each year and pick out little pumpkins for themselves =)

After story:
Ok so we bought two whole pumpkin pies to give to our parents and one pumpkin roll which we took to church to share for our big breakfast event we had. I tried a little piece of it, but Charles didn't get to try it so after everyone was done there were two pieces left so I wrapped it in a napkin and stuck it in a cup and put it in my diaper bag. When we got home I totally forgot about it and laid my purse on the floor and went up to rest a little. When I came back down I saw little traces of napkins on the floor and I'm thinking oh Butter must have been playing with napkins and then a light bulb went off so I hurried to my diaper bag and bam it was gone!!! my precious pumpkin roll!!! I was furious, I mean furious! I am not gonna share what happened to Butter, but lets just say she won't do that again.
